Classification of molds and key design points
There are many types of molds, which can be classified based on the processing objects and processing techniques as follows: 1. Molds for processing metals. 2. Molds for processing non-metals and powder metallurgy. This includes plastic molds (such as two-color molds, compression molds, and extrusion molds), rubber molds, and powder metallurgy molds. Based on structural characteristics, molds can also be divided into flat punching molds and cavity molds with space. Molds are generally produced in single pieces or small batches. According to the different materials being formed, they can be categorized into hardware molds, plastic molds, and special molds.
There are many types of molds, which can be classified according to the processing objects and processing technology:

② Molds for processing non-metals and powder metallurgy. This includes plastic molds (such as two-color molds, compression molds, and extrusion molds), rubber molds, and powder metallurgy molds. They are classified into hardware molds, plastic molds, and special molds based on the different materials formed.
Hardware molds include: stamping dies (such as cutting dies, bending dies, deep drawing dies, hole punching dies, shrinkage dies, undulating dies, expansion dies, shaping dies, etc.), forging dies (such as die forging dies and upset forging dies), extrusion molds, casting molds, die-casting molds, forging molds, etc.;
Non-metallic molds include: plastic molds, inorganic non-metallic molds, sand casting molds, vacuum molding tools and paraffin wax molding tools.
Among them, with the rapid development of polymer plastics, plastic molding is closely related to people's lives. Plastic molding can generally be divided into: injection molding tools, extrusion molding tools and gas-assisted molding tools.
Composition:
In addition to the mold itself, it also requires a mold base, mold frame and core ejection device for the formed parts; these components are generally made in a universal type. Mold companies need to grow larger and more refined; they should determine product positioning and market positioning based on market demand as well as technical conditions such as funding and equipment. 4. Mold base design: configuration design of core components

（1）导柱:具有导引公模与母模的功能.在多色模中必需保持同心度。
（2）回位销：由于模具必需旋转的动作，所以必需将顶出板固定，在回位销上加弹簧使顶出板保持稳定。
（3）定位块：确保两模座固定于大固板时不因螺丝的间隙问题而造成偏移。
（4）调整块（耐磨块）：主要用于合模时模具高度z坐标值误差时可以做调整。
（5）顶出机构：顶出方式的设计与一般模具相同。
（6）冷却回路设计：模具一与模具二的冷却回路设计尽量相同。
